What a Tweet-heart!

Hello!  This week's design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog showcases the newly released Slimline dies.  This release is a wonderful selection of slimline dies that are perfect for creating all occasion cards.  They are all on sale too!

The Leafy Background Slimline die set was used to cut out the background for my card.  I created an ink blended background and spritzed it with water.  Once it was dry, I used the die to cut it out.  I also cut out the adorable Bluebird and the Nested Stitched Scallop Oval and shaded them with Oxide Inks.

The die cut panel was adhered to a white slimline card base.  The contrast of the colors really makes the leafy background pop.
The bluebird and branch were nestled inside the die cut oval fitting almost perfectly.
The oval was then affixed to the center of the card base.
I stamped a whimsical sentiment on a piece of card stock and trimmed it into a hand cut flag. The flag was added underneath the oval.

Heard you Caught a Bug

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day. For my project, I used one of the new Slimline dies.  This die release consists of 20 new die sets and they are absolutely amazing for creating slimline cards!  They are all on sale right now too!

I used the Lattice Slimline to cut out the background panel for my card.  The Doodle Bug die was used for all of the other die cuts.
Next, I adhered the lattice panel on a slimline card base and used my Oxide Ink to shade it in the yellow color.  I wanted some of the yellow to peek through the lattice windows for a subtle effect on my card.
The two butterflies were adhered in the top and bottom corners of my card panel.
The other doodle bugs were scattered in between the 2 butterflies filling in the empty spaces.
The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and affixed in the empty space on my card.

You're One Cool Chick

Hello! Today I have another card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog!  I'm showcasing a couple die sets from the fabulous new Slimline die release!  There is such a great variety of dies in this release and I used a couple of them on my card.

Once I selected the patterned paper for the my card base I cut it out with the Pinking Shear Edge Slimline die set.  I also cut out the Picket Fence Slimline and trimmed it down so it would fit between the 2 chicks.  The chicks are from the Country Farm Chicks die set.  I shaded the chicks with some Oxide Inks and used patterned paper for their outfits.
I layered the die cut patterned piece on a white card base creating a whimsical background for my card.

Each of the farm chicks were affixed on the outer edge of my card base.

The picket fence was adhered between the chicks. I tucked a piece of card stock into the picket fence to create a sentiment sign.

The sentiment tag was added to the card stock piece as the final finishing touch on my card.

Herd It's Your Birthday!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a slimline card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm excited to use one of the dies from the new Slimline die release.  There are 20 new dies in this amazing release! I combined the new die release with the original Slimline dies and the Country Farm dies to create a fun birthday card.

My card base was cut with the Nested Stitched Rectangles Slimline die set and layered with the Hills Slimline die cut.  The Farm Fence Slimline was trimmed down a bit to leave enough space for the Farm Truck w/Animals.  The Baby Farm Animals finished off the adorable farm scene along with a fun sentiment sign.

Boots and Bling - it's a Cowgirl Thing!

Hello!  Today I have a quick card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  The Country Farm die release was perfect for creating this all occasion card which came together very quickly!  There's a brand new release of Slimline dies in the store too, be sure to check them out while they are on sale!

Since I had the cowboy paper in mind for this card, I selected some coordinating card stock colors for all of the die cuts.  The die cuts are from the Dog in Cowboy Boot, Country Farm Cows (fence) and the Mail Tag Set.
I wanted to showcase the patterned paper for this card so I kept my card base very simple and adhered the set of tags on top.  The double tags were tied together with some jute twine.
The fence was adhered along the bottom edge of the tag, slightly overlapping it.
The sweet doggy in the boot was affixed on top of the tag with the fence behind.
The fun sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag.  I tied some more of the jute together and added it to my car as an embellishment.
