Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello! I'm back over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my guest designer post with this fun St. Patrick's Day card.  The Lucky Leprechaun at the focal point of my card is one of the adorable dies from the Valentine's release.
For my card I went with a monochromatic theme with the different shades of green, however, I used a white background to ensure the leprechaun would pop on my card.  A few gold accents provided the perfect amount of sparkle to the leprechaun's accessories.
The white panel was cut with the Cottage Cutz Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Set which was layered on another panel cut from the Stitched Rectangle Set.
The papers for my standard A2 card base are from the DCWV Double Sided Cardstock stack.  The double sided sheet provided a contrasting look to the background.  I used a punch for the circle which was sized perfectly for the sentiment.
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Dancing in Circles stamp set and it was heat embossed on the circle.  The heat embossing gives the sentiment an extra bold look.
Here are the dies I used on my card available in the shop:

Celebrate Card

Hello!  This card was created with the Momenta Intricate Flower Mat Cutting Template.  The floral design is so beautiful and can be used in a variety of ways.  I'm going to try using it for an embossed background instead of a die cut.
I used a rainbow of Oxide Inks to create the background and layered it with the die cut.  The sentiment is from the Momenta Hello, Smile, Celebrate stamp set and was heat embossed on some vellum and framed with some black card stock.  As a finishing accent, I added some pearl stickers to the centers of the flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

For Peep's Sake

Hello!  I'm excited to share an Easter card for my guest designer post over at the Scrapping Cottage today. My card was created with one of the many new dies from the new Cottage Cutz Spring release. These new dies are currently on sale too!
I was completely inspired by this fun paper from the DCWV "Pocket Full of Posies" stack, the colors have a "Spring" look to them and are perfect for an Easter card.
I used the colors as inspiration for the die cuts for the Spring Bunnies Trio and for the Stitched Circles.  To achieve the perfect colors, I used my Oxide Inks to shade all of the die cuts.
I used the circle dies to cut out a couple of windows on my card background.  Next, I layered the grass strips behind the windows and along the bottom edge of my card.
The die cut circles were adhered behind the grass in each of the windows.  I tucked in the sweet bunnies between the grass and circles.  I picked out a few paper flowers from my stash and adhered them along the grass on my card.  One of the flowers was strategically placed where the 2 pieces of grass meet.
My card was finished off with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) For Peep's Sake stamp set. The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag.
Here are the dies used on my card, available here:

Be My Valentine

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a set of Valentine's cards for my guest designer post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  With Valentine's Day tomorrow, these are perfect to share with that special someone especially an animal lover.
These sweet puppies were die cut from the Puppy with Valentine and Puppy Love Letter dies.  The sentiment, banner and hearts are from the Be My Valentine Puppies die set.  I also cut out two circles from the Stitched Circle Set and two squares from the Double Stitched Square Set.
I went with a black, white and red theme for my card so the die cuts came together very quickly.  The puppies were cut with neutral shaded card stock.  A bit of Glossy Accents were added to the eyes and noses of the puppies.
The puppies were centered perfectly on the white circles.  After I adhered the tiny hearts next to the puppies, I decided to cut the black circles with my electronic die cutter for a frame.  The patterned papers are from the My Minds Eye "Charmed" 6x6 paper pad.  I love the row of neutral hearts amongst the black hearts.
The sentiment banner was adhered along the top edge of the die cut squares so that it would be centered above the puppies.
The finished die cuts were layered on the base of my card.  The sweet puppies are the perfect focal point for these Valentine's cards.
Here are the dies I used on my cards, available here:

XOXO Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a project for my guest designer post for the Scrapping Cottage.  I had so much fun creating this sweet card with the new Valentine's dies.
The Swinging Monkey was the focal point of my card.  Once I put him together, I added an extra heart to his belly for a whimsical look.  The sentiment was cut from the Valentine Phrase & More die set and the grass was cut from the Grass with Cattails die.  I simply trimmed off the cattails.  All of the die cuts were inked on the edges for some depth and dimension.
I wanted to create a fence for the background of my card so I simply cut strips of paper with my paper trimmer.  Two smaller strips were cut to be used horizontally on the fence.  The paper strips were inked on the edges.
I layered them together along the solid brown background.  Varying the sizes of the strips gives the fence a more natural appearance.
To finish off the fence, I added some bling stickers along each of the "posts" and adhered the grass along the bottom edge.
Nest, I added the sentiment at the top of the fence and then adhered the branch directly below ensuring the sweet monkey would fit perfectly.
Here are the dies I used on my card available here:

Love You Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card that I created for my husband for Valentine's Day.  I basically used my Picked Raspberry Oxide Ink over some white card stock in a light to dark gradience.  I didn't use any water over the ink since I wanted the color variation to remain exactly as blended.
I cut out the heart border using the Momenta Heart Border Cutting Template.  The heart borders were arranged at an angle for a bit of interest leaving the bottom triangle of the white card stock for the sentiment.
The sentiment was cut from the same inked card stock using the Momenta Romance Cutting Template.  I cut out the sentiment twice and adhered the layers together for some dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day.

You Make My Heart Flutter

Hello!  Today I have another Valentine's Day card to share for my guest designer post for the Scrapping Cottage.  Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and these new Valentine's dies makes it so easy to create some adorable cards.
I used the Lovebug Butterfly and the Lovebug Bee & Ladybug dies to cut out these sweet die cuts. The squares were cut from the Stitched Rounded Square Set.  I went with a pink and red theme and inked everything on the edges.  A bit of chalk was added to the cheeks along with a tiny dot with a white gel pen.
Each of the die cuts were adhered to the squares.  I found the perfect papers in my stash from an older Martha Stewart paper pad.  The pink, red and white papers complimented my die cuts perfectly.
I hand cut a small rectangle tag and heat embossed it with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Crazy for you stamp set.  I hole punched the tag on each of the ends.  The hole reinforcements were punched with the We R Memory Keepers Hole Reinforcer Punch.  The tag was adhered to the bottom of my card and tied with some Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
The adorable die cuts were aligned in a row above the sentiment tag.  I absolutely love these cute die cuts.
Here are the dies I used on my card which are currently on sale here

Love Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card for Valentine's Day which can also be used for a wedding or anniversary card.  I cut out the floral background with the Momenta Intricate Flower Mat cutting template in kraft card stock.  I inked up the base of my card with some Fired Brick Oxide Ink which was spritzed with water. The end result was a gorgeous coral peeking through the floral design.
The "love" sentiment was cut from the the Momenta Romance Pack cutting template, the same colored Oxide Ink was used to shade the sentiment.  The sentiment was adhered to a hand cut flag. Some coordinating bling was added to the center of the larger flowers for a finishing accent.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Love - We're the Perfect Blend

Hello!  I'm back over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my guest designer post sharing a project with the new Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day release.  There are 16 new dies in this release which are currently on sale.  They are all so cute and perfect for those Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day projects!
For my card, I used paper from the Craft Smith "Love U A Latte" paper pad.  The patterned paper complimented the die cuts perfectly.
I'm always looking for creative ways to use my dies so I combined the Love Latte & Donut with Love Cupcake.  The heart was cut from the Stitched Heart set.
Each of the die cuts were inked on the edges and adhered together.  Next, I clustered the die cuts by grouping them on the stitched heart.  The "love" sentiment was placed on the heart creating a cohesive look to the design.
The card base was put together quickly by adding a solid brown strip along the edge of the patterned paper.  I heat embossed a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps (retired) Freshly Brewed stamp set. The sentiment filled in the space between the heart and the edge of the card and worked perfectly to anchor the sweet design.
Here are the dies used on my card available in the shop:
