Just a Note

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this sweet card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I had the chance to play with this typewriter die which is absolutely adorable.  I can think of so many different uses for this die.

I die cut the Typewriter, Sweet Love Border and the Stitched Wide Circle Frame.  The "sweet" sentiment was cut twice and layered for some dimension.  

I found the most perfect papers in my stash stash.  I decided to offset the circle frame for better placement on my card.

The heart border was adhered along the bottom edge of my card.  The hearts remind me of a scribble style pattern.  The typewriter fit perfectly inside the circle.

A sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) "The Charmed Life" stamp set was anchored above the border on a hand cut flag.

The finishing accent on my card was a cluster of paper flowers.  A few bling stickers adorned the flower centers.

It's Your Special Day

Hello!  Today I have a quick card to share which I created for my son.  I always struggle with masculine card since I love all things sparkly and shiny!  I used the Momenta Happy Birthday Emboss and Stamp set to emboss the background of my card and then highlighted the embossing with some Oxide Ink.  The sentiment is from the same set.

I used the Momenta Star Confetti Mat Cutting Template for the stars.  A few of the stars were clustered around the sentiment and a few more were scattered on the card base.

May Your Day Be Magical

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog. I'm still loving all of the dies from the Magical Fantasy die release, they are perfect for those whimsical projects!

All of my pieces were die cut in white card stock and then shaded with my Oxide Inks.  I went with a soft color palette for both the Rainbow with Clouds and the Magic Dragon.

To create my background I cut out several of the clouds from the Rainbow with Clouds die and used it as a stencil at the bottom of my card base.  The top of my card base was inked with some Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and splattered with a bit of water.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happily Ever After stamp set and anchored the rainbow next to the sentiment.  The sweet dragon was adhered above the clouds, he appears to be floating.

For a finishing accent, I adhered some sequin stars on the upper half of my card.  This card is perfect for any special occasion!

Birthday Wishes

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a project for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I have a happy and bright card to share which is perfect for a Spring or Summer Birthday.

I found the patterned scrap of pink, white and black paper in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the solid colors.

I used each of the solid card stock sheets and cut out all of the Stitched Flowers knowing I would have enough for 2 cards.  I also cut out a couple of leaves from the same set and a banner from the Retro Tag Toppers.

I put 5 of the flowers together layering the different colors.  I added some foam dots to the back of each of the flowers for added dimension.

Once I created my card base, I anchored 3 of the flowers to fill up the center of my card base.

Next, I placed the remaining flowers clustering them together.  The leaves were trimmed and tucked in amongst the flowers.  I also added 3 of the flower centers as extra embellishments.

The finishing touch was a heat embossed sentiment from the Pink & Main Hello Sweet stamp set.  I curved the sentiment along the banner so it fit perfectly.

Wonder Woman Cards

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a set of cards over on the Paper House Productions blog.  When I came across the new Wonder Woman collection I was immediately inspired to create some cards.  I started out creating one card and couldn't stop working with these gorgeous papers.  As a result, I have a set of 3 cards to share today.

This set of cards are all about strength and determination.  Although the cards could be used for any occasion, I think they are perfect to celebrate the strong woman in your life.  I combined papers and stickers from the same collection which all coordinate perfectly.  The stickers and fussy cut elements are at the focal point of all three cards.

The collage card consists of stickers, fussy cut pieces and die cut stars. A couple of the embellishments were popped up on foam dots for a more dramatic and dimensional look.  I sectioned off my card so several stickers could be showcased against the variety of papers.  The black card base provides a great back drop for the collage.

The next card has a Wonder Woman sticker anchored as the focal point on some die cut stars.  The shimmer of gold in the papers bring a bit of elegance to this card.  A few smaller die cut stars were scattered around the oversized banner.  Once again, I used a black card base for a sharp contrast.

My final card has a CAS design which really showcases the papers and the fussy cut Wonder Woman symbol.  The bottom of my card is basic white card stock so I could stamp an inspirational sentiment.  A few die cut stars surround the focal point of my card.

I Love You Like Unicorns Love Rainbows. . .

Hello!  Today I have a project to share for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm so in love with the Unicorn Floral die from the Magical Fantasy release.  There are so many detailed die cuts.

After I cut out each of the pieces I shaded them with my Distress Oxide Inks.  I varied the shading to achieve a range of colors on the pieces.

To create the background of my card, I heat embossed a sentiment on some white card stock and used a die cut Circle to mask off a portion of my card.  The background was then inked around the circle which really made the sentiment pop.  Once I achieved the right amount of color, the die cut circle was removed from the background and discarded.

The unicorn was placed inside the circle and the circle border was used as a guide for placement of the greenery.  All of the flowers and greenery were adhered to surround the unicorn.

The open spaces were filled in with the smaller flowers and stars.  I added a couple of enamel dots on each side of the sentiment as a finishing accent.

Hugs Card

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share created with a few different dies from Momenta.  To create my card, I used the Nested Square Border die and shaded the square which was layered on my card base.

Next, I cut out the flowers, leaves and flower centers with the 3D Flower Cutting Template.  I used some Oxide Inks to shade them.  Once I layered the flowers on top of the square, I cut out the sentiment with the Alphabet Uppercase Cutting Template.  A bit of bling was the finishing accent on my card.

Princess Card

Hello!  Today I'm back over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I'm sharing a princess card created with the new Magical Fantasy die release.  The die sets used on my card are sure to bring out the inner princess in all of us.

The floral paper was the inspiration for the hot pink colors on my card.  I also incorporated some vellum on my card base.

I used the Princess Dress Up, Princess Accessories 1 and the Little Princess & Roses dies to cut out all of my pieces using card stock.  The circle is from the Nested Stitched Eyelet Circle Set.  The die cuts were inked on the edges for extra dimension.  A black gel pen was used to add some eyelashes to my princess and a bit of chalk was brushed on her cheeks.

I created my A2 sized card base and adhered vellum to the bottom portion.  The vellum toned down the patterned background so the "princess" sentiment and roses would pop on my card.

The sweet princess and her purse were adhered to the die cut circle.  All of the pink really stands out against the basic white circle background.

The circle was centered on the top portion of my card. This card is perfect for any little girl who is a princess!

Graduate Layout

Hello!  Today I have a project to share over on the Paper House Productions blog.  This layout page showcases a picture of my daughter from 2 years ago when she graduated with her Bachelor's degree. In a few weeks this beautiful, young lady is now graduating with her Master's degree.  She had big goals and it is amazing to see her achieve them!  I am so proud of her!

My layout page uses a patterned border strip from the gorgeous Stargazer collection.  I drew inspiration from the gold accents and arrows for my scrapbook page.  The triangles on the right side are fussy cut from a patterned page from the same collection.  

The title was created with some dies and popped up on foam for added dimension.  The graduation themed stickers are from the Paper House Life Organized stickers and were clustered together in a circle pattern.  I temporarily adhered a circle die on the my background paper with some washi tape and used the circle as a guide for placing the stickers.  The end result is so fun and whimsical on a layout page!

A few die cut arrows were anchored below the stickers with a sprinkling of star stickers amongst them. The graduation caps along the gold paper are from the Paper House Sticky Pix Puffy stickers.  The texture of the puffy stickers looks amazing against the gold background.  A tiny arrow at the bottom of the gold border adds a fun embellishment to the page.
