You Are My Honey

Hello! Today I'm sharing this adorable card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post. My card was created with the Busy Bee die from the new release of Spring dies which are currently on sale.
This card was inspired by a selection of fun papers in my stash.  Once I selected my papers I went with a sweet card which can be used for Valentine's Day or as an anniversary card.
The Busy Bee die was used for the 2 bees and then I went with a few of the basic dies (Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle, Nested Stitched Scallop Circle and Stitched Circle) for my card background.
In preparation of my card pieces, I stamped the sentiment inside the circle.  I also hand cut a little flag to use as an embellishment on my card.
I layered a solid black card base with the patterned paper background.  Next I added the 2 pieces cut with the Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle die set on top.
The white circle was nested inside the scallop circle and the set of circles were adhered on my card base.
I popped up the bees on some foam dots for added dimension.  The two bees surrounded the sentiment circle and the flag was added as a finishing touch.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello!  It's my design team day over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  I'm excited to share a card created with the new Spring Release dies.  These dies are not only ideal for those Spring and Easter creations but also perfect for Valentine's.
I cut out the newly released Bunny Truck for my card and added some hearts to the back of the truck. The hearts are from the Party Favors die set.  The truck and hearts were inked up with some Oxide Inks.  I used the Nested Stitched Eyelet Rectangle Set for my card panel.
I prepared my panel by stamping it with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Love Notes stamp set.  I also added some Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine as an embellishment.
I used the colors from the truck as inspiration for the papers on the background of my card.  The center piece was punched with the Fiskars Scalloped Sentiment punch.  The rectangle panel was adhered on top.
To finish off my Valentine's card, the truck was placed in the center of the panel as the focal point.

Just a Little Love Note

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team day. This card is perfect for Valentine's Day.
The die cuts are from the Cottage Cutz Love Letters die set. I followed the packaging colors and went with a non-traditional color theme for my card.
Once I put together my die cuts, I found the perfect plaid paper in my stash for the background of my card. I used the Fiskars Grass border punch for the grass.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happy Mail stamp set.
I created the scene on my card by adhering the mailbox with a couple of extra letters.  Next came the branch with the adorable bird perched on top.
My card was finished off with the sentiment flag.  A few tiny hearts were added to the sentiment as embellishments.

Wishing You a Cup of Cheer!

Hello!  Today I have a sweet card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  I wanted to create a card that can be used as an all occasion card especially during the winter season!
The Hot Drink Cup and Mr. Snuggles die sets are so versatile that they can be used together or separately. I also used the Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval die set for my card.  The tiny heart was left over on my craft desk from one of my Christmas projects so I incorporated it into my card.
I went with a kraft theme for my card base which coordinated perfectly with Mr. Snuggles and his coffee cup.  I selected a strip of blue card stock to add to my card.
All of the pieces were layered and adhered to my card base.  The die cut oval topped off my card.
Mr. Snuggles and his coffee cup was adhered inside the oval leaving enough room for the sentiment tag underneath.
A triple bow made with some jute twine was the perfect finishing accent on this cheery card.

Feel Better Soon

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this "get well" card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  Since we are in the middle of winter and flu season, this card is perfect for cheering up anyone who is under the weather.
I went with an embossed background for my card and then cut out my pieces from the Ouch With Tooth and the Chicken Noodle Soup die sets.  The napkin is triangle cut with my paper trimmer.
Once I matted the embossed card stock on a blue background, I added the triangle napkin at the base of my card.
Next, each of the die cuts were adhered on top of the napkin with the extra spoon resting on top.
The "feel better soon" sentiment was stretched along the top of my card fitting perfectly across the background.

Holiday Wishes & Gingerbread Kisses

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a sweet card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post. I have one last card to share from the Christmas holiday created with the adorable gingerbread couple from the Gingerbread Baking Set.
The couple was die cut in card stock along with 4 frames: Stitched Wide Rectangle, Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle, Stitched Rectangle and the Rectangle set.
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Winter Wishes stamp set.  I punched holes on each side of the sentiment tag and tied it some Candy Cane Trendy Twine.
The frames were layered together and adhered to the card base. The different sized frames nested inside one another perfectly.
The first gingerbread was angled a bit and placed in the left hand corner of my card directly under the sentiment.
The second gingerbread was adhered directly opposite of the first which completed this festive card.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I have a fun card to share on this New Year's Day over on the Scrapping Cottage blog created with the new Arctic Animals die release.  I combined several of the new dies on one card!
I wanted to create a snowy scene for the sweet Arctic Animals so I went with a blue and gray theme. The fun sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Farm Fresh stamp set which was perfect for my card.
I shaded all of my die cuts with some Oxide Inks and also used the inks for the two hand cut pieces at the bottom of my card base.
The scene was built with the hand cut hills and Snowy Mountains.  Next, the Arctic Snowy Trees were tucked in behind the mountains.
The puffin from the Arctic Birds set was placed in front of the mountains and the Baby Walrus was added on the left hand side of my card.  The husky is from the Husky w/Sled die set.
The Arctic Baby Fox was tucked in next to the husky and the penguin from the Arctic Penguins & Igloo die set.
My card was finished off with the sentiment flag which was trimmed to fit in the upper right hand corner.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:
