It's your Birthday - Paint the Town!

Hello!  Today I have a bright and cheery card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage for my design team post.  I used one of the intricate dies from the Spring die release.
I cut out the largest butterfly from the Springtime Butterflies die set and opted to leave all of the negative space pieces intact.  The butterfly was inked up with some Oxide Inks.  The doily is from the Nested Stitched Doily Set.
I used a rainbow of Oxide Inks to create the background for my card.  Once the ink was dry, I splattered it with some water.
I waited for the water to dry and then splattered the card panel with some white paint.  Next, I embossed it with a butterfly embossing folder.
The doily was adhered in the center of my card base breaking up the rainbow background.  The white doily also helps to bring out the paint splatters.
The butterfly was nestled inside the doily.  A heat embossed sentiment on some vellum was the finishing touch on my card.

Happy Easter Blessings

Hello!  Today I'm back over on the Scrapping Cottage for my design team post.  I have an Easter card to share created with a couple of irresistible bunnies from the Spring die release.
I cut out the bunnies from the Spring Parade and Juggling Spring Bunny die sets using kraft card stock. The grass border is from the Spring Grass die set.  An Easter sentiment was stamped on some basic white card stock.
The papers I selected are the perfect Spring themed patterns.  I used the Circle Set die to cut out 2 circles on the top layer of my card base.  A smaller circle from the same die set was used to cut out the sentiment and inked on the edges.  The grass border was slightly trimmed for a better fit on my card.
To build my card, the 2 patterned papers were adhered on a solid card background.  The grass border was laid along the bottom edge of my card.
Next, each of the bunnies were nestled inside the circle cut outs creating a whimsical design.
My card was finished by adding the Easter sentiment circle in the upper corner of my card.

Some Bunny Loves You

Hello!  Today I have a CAS card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  The Spring dies are perfect for the upcoming Easter holiday!
I cut out these adorable bunnies using the Cottage Cutz Bunny Backsides die set and inked them in different colors using my Oxide Inks.
I chose a simple chevron paper for the background and created the rows of bunnies in sets of three.
As I adhered the bunnies, I ensured that no 2 colors or shapes were next to each other.  This gives the simple card a more appealing design.
Once my bunnies were adhered on my card, I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms "The Charmed Life" (retired) stamp set on a hand cut flag and layered it over one of the bunnies.

Make a Splash

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this adorable card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post. I have another sweet die set to showcase on this card from the new Spring die release.
The Splish Splash Duckling was shaded with my Oxide Inks and tucked inside the oversized tub.  I also cut out a sign from the Route 66 Road Signs die set for the sentiment.  The circle is from the Nested Stitched Scallop Circle Set.
I selected a cheery background for featuring the duck at the focal point of my card.  I trimmed down the road sign, stamped it with a fun sentiment and layered the 2 pieces.
To build my card, I placed the scallop circle die cut in the center of my card.  The sweet duck was centered inside the circle.
Next, the water splashes and bubbles were clustered around the duck for a whimsical look on my card.
The layered sentiment sign was adhered on the bottom of the card for a final finishing touch.

Hello Spring

Hello!  Today I'm sharing this card over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  This card is perfect for welcoming the Spring season which is right around the corner.
My card was inspired by all of the colors in the plaid card base.  I inked up a die cut from the Stitched Square Set and splattered it with some water for a softer appearance.
The die cuts are from the Hello Spring Bloom and Springtime Pals die sets.  I opted to leave the handle off of the pail so that it would look like a flower pot.  An extra fence panel was cut so that the fence would stretch across the square panel.  All of the die cuts were shaded with some Oxide Inks.
The square was centered on the card base with the fence layered inside.  The flower pot was adhered on top of the fence.
I continued to build the Spring theme by adding the tiny bird next to the flower pot. The snail was added to the top of the fence.
The "Hello Spring" sentiment was adhered on top of the square panel giving the card a whimsical appearance.

Celebrate

Hello!  I have a fun card to share over on the Scrapping Cottage blog for my design team post.  The Spring die release has so many wonderful dies that can be used in a variety of ways.
I cut out the pieces from the Rooster & Chick die set and shaded the pieces with some Oxide Inks. The Cross-Stitched Squares were cut out with different pieces of card stock to coordinate with the rooster.  The Celebrate sentiment was cut out of some patterned card stock.
I created a simple background with some bright and cheery papers from my stash and layered it with a couple of overlapping squares.
Next, I added the solid square toward the bottom of my card and adhered the sentiment on the other square for a contrasting look.
The sun was layered above the rooster and on top of the larger square.  The sun broke up the bold pattern a bit.
The sweet chick gazing at the rooster was the final finishing accent on my card.

Have a Dandy Day!

Hello!  I'm sharing a sweet card for my design team post over on the Scrapping Cottage blog.  The new Spring die release has some of the most adorable die sets to use for those Easter creations however with a few slight adjustments, the dies are versatile for all types of occasions.
I cut out the ducks from the Daffodil Duck and Duckling with Kite die sets.  All of the die cuts were shaded with some Oxide Inks.
I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms retired "Walking on Sunshine" stamp set on a piece of card stock.  The stamped rectangle was adhered on a strip of card stock to create a sentiment sign for my card.
A bit more Oxide Ink was used to create a soft background for my card background.  I went with a combination of 2 colors for a CAS look.
Once the background was done, I simply adhered the adorable ducks on my card base for a whimsical appearance.
The sentiment sign was canchored in the middle of the card between the 2 ducks for a finishing touch.
